PORTRAIT DE LA JEUNE FILLE EN FEU Sortie en France le 18/09/2019 réalisé par Céline Sciamma avec Noemi Merlant, Adele Haenel, Luana Bajrami, Valeria Golino Noémie Merlant et Adele Haenel jouent le rôle de deux femmes du XVIIIe siècle. Le titre de la dernière œuvre de Céline Sciamma a plusieurs significations. Tout d’abord, il s’agit d’un portrait réel que la protagoniste principale, Marianne (Noémie Merlant), peint. Mais il désigne également le film lui-même comme une étude cinématographique de la dame en question, Heloise (Adele Haenel), dont la robe coulante s’enflamme littéralement à un moment donné suite à l'amour et le désir qu'elle ressent pour Marianne. Le film se déroule après 1770, dans un coin reculé de la Bretagne, près de la côte atlantique. Marianne est une femme semi-indépendante, apprentie de son père peintre plus acclamé et plus connu (un personnage que nous ne rencontrons jamais), Marianne est une portraitiste experte à part entière, qui se rend dans des maisons pour peindre des sujets sur commande. Elle arrive chez une comtesse veuve (Valeria Golino), qui souhaite que Marianne face le portrait de sa fille, Héloïse, afin de l'envoyer à l'homme milanais à qui elle a fiancé Héloïse sans même le présenter, comme c'était la coutume. Avec mélancolie, la comtesse se souvient que son propre portrait, peint par le père de Marianne, était arrivé au château avant elle quand elle était jeune femme. Un autre peintre, un homme, a essayé et n'a pas réussi à peindre Heloïse parce qu'elle refusait simplement de siéger à ses côtés. Car elle est dans le chagrin de la perte d'une sœur aînée, récemment décédée dans des circonstances mystérieuses. La comtesse a donc engagé Marianne pour prétendre être une compagne de promenade pour sa fille, qui venait tout juste de rentrer d'un couvent. Les deux femmes tombent amoureuses peu à peu. On assiste à une série de promenades, de conversations et de longs regards entre les femmes, au cours desquelles le tableau, au fur et à mesure de son développement, devient un autre personnage du récit, faisant partie d'un plan à trois émotionnel. Heloise va alors jouer un rôle de premier plan dans la création artistique, devenant une collaboratrice de Marianne au lieu d'être simplement l'objet de son regard. Un autre personnage entre dans le cercle des amoureux: Sophie la femme de ménage (Luana Bajrami),... Film romantique consacré également à l’histoire de l’art notamment sur les vraies peintres historiques de cette période. In all my years of watching movies, I have never set eyes on such pretentious garbage. The dialogue is soporific, the acting is so wooden that the Californian redwoods pale into insignificance in comparison.
Just as an example, 8 minutes into the movie, there is a scene of the woman, naked in front of a fireplace, smoking a pipe, with 2 canvases drying either side of her. Utter self indulgent refuse of the highest order.
How this movie got an average of 8.3, I will never know. Perhaps all the Carsten Janckers who go to Cannes and drool over cinematic dross piled onto IMDB in their droves?
There are so many good movies that hail from our Gallic neighbours, unfortunately, it's because of festering celluloid cow-pats such as this which garner attention with golden globe and oscar noms, that most cinema viewing folk stay well clear of anything French. It stands to agine someone introduces you to the worst wine on earth. the kind of stuff that would strip paint and make vinegar seem like a fine Chianti? Would you rush out to buy more of the stuff?
So yeah, if you like pretentious nonsense. you'll love this. If however you have an ounce of taste when it comes to silver screen presentations, then stay well clear.

Un récit qui se déroule sur une île venteuse, avec à la clé une réalisation décrite comme très belle, et un casting composé de Luana Bajrami (Fête de famille), Valeria Golino (Rain Man) et bien sûr Adèle Haenel (Les Combattants). Un film récompensé par le Prix du scénario à Cannes 2019.

При этом это не просто романтичная попытка нарисовать некий мир другой любви, в голове у афторши мир без мужчин, мир где нет другой алтернативы. Видимо радикальное лесбиянство и есть причина по которой фильм получил приз канского фестивпля за освещение лгбт (как я узнал к сожалению потом). Не смог досмтореть. Было мерзко. Portrait De La Jeune Fille En feu d'artifice. This film is a luxurious feast for the eyes. Even single shot is fantastic, the colour choices were amazing, there is a great balance between the primary colors and the red and green dresses of the protagonists really bring a lot of power and life to the movie. The wide shots of the sea are gorgeous and the sound design is so well-done, The sound of the waves and the footsteps add so much to the experience. The camera work is brilliant. The way they director has set the camera in the drawing sequences is really clever and aesthetically nice, as it is maintained in the whole film. The whole film has a great personality and atmosphere, one that made it really interesting to watch and I definitely want to rematch it.
The actresses did a really great job. Their expressions and reactions feel so real and there is the protagonist's eyes are gorgeous and so captivating, It is not a plot-oriented film, but the plot actually manages to be really good, though it is probably the films weakest element,
The dialogues, especially during the first half, were so cleverly written and brought out both emotion and things to thing about, It is a film that is basically a love story, but manages to talk about the position of women during that particular are, how their whole life was designed by others so they want to meet other ideas and emotions, like how does music feel or what is love, what is freedom, is freedom a state of living that we can have forever?
My only bag with the film would be that the actual story is kind of a ripoff of other films that talk about love? For instance, I felt that it actually had the same story with Call me by your Name, a film which I really really love. Two strangers meet and fall in love, they keep it as a secret and time is the story's enemy. There is an actual scene where the characters say they lost time and should have been together earlier and there is a similar piece of dialogue in CMBYN, so I felt that it was not such a breathtaking story, although i was never really bored and the relationship between the character was explored nicely.
There are a lot of beautiful shots and scenes in the film, one of them is in the poster and really brought a sense of joy to my heart, there is a scene where the characters are playing cards and it feels so real and fun, the painting scenes were lovely and the last scene is actually perfect and the acting in this scene is phenomenal.
Watch this film, it has a beautiful scenery and tone and I give it an 8/10

Elle fume du schit ! En tout cas cette Adèle là, c'est autre chose que les saloperies d'une autre Adèle manipulée par un malade, une ordure qui confond réalisation cinématographique et porno. J'ai rarement vu un interview aussi risible, que ce soit celui qui pose les questions ou celle qui répond (certainement que le second découle du premier, néanmoins il y'a toujours moyen de relever le niveau lorsqu'on a les capacités. Filme belíssimo. Réalisatrice hors du temps pour moi. Ce film est juste magiquement phénoménal.
